[Arduino Diary #8] Team project – Arduino organ pedal

20140919_164327With my dear team mate Arian, we launched a new project: Arduino organ pedal. Arian is a dedicated pianist and it was natural for him to come up with a musical application. Just like in the picture, the method is very simple just like its idea. All we need is some foil and a decent library for organ sounds. You can’t see it in the photo but the musician should also have a pair of aluminium foil under his feet.(The foil works as a wire) Here’s a demonstration:

I think it’s very doable, creative and fun project. Thanks Arian for this brilliant idea and I’m sorry that I was almost two hours late for our meeting this afternoon!

Just thinking, it would be super cool that we actually build a mini organ: organ keyboard + organ pedal. And on presentation of our project, Arian will play something with it.  Black keys on Keyboard and pedals can be made of boxes so they are not just flat aluminium foil on the ground.

For instrumental sound library I should contact Tomi about it.
